Nova is looking for new talent – apply to the CME Content Academy.

TV Nova and FAMU are opening applications for the next intake of the CME Content Academy, a unique one‑year educational program combining intensive hands-on television experience. Graduates of Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs focused on film and audiovisual production, who see their future in television, are invited to apply. Applications are open from May 1 to May 31, 2026.

The CME Content Academy is a long-term investment in the next generation of talented creators, who will bring fresh impulses to Czech television and push its boundaries,” says Daniel Grunt, CEO of TV Nova.

Intensive hands-on experience

“CME CA is an intensive one-year program that fully immerses students in real television production,” says David Čeněk, Dean of FAMU. “We are proud that FAMU can be part of a project that connects academic reflection with top-level practical experience.”

Throughout their internships, students work on real projects together with creators who also mentor them. As a result, they gain not only a deep understanding of formats and production processes, but also their first professional experience and valuable industry connections that can significantly shape their future careers, adds Marta Švecová, program guarantor and FAMU lecturer.

Admission requirements

The one-year intensive program is open to graduates of Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs focused on film and television production, directing, screenwriting, dramaturgy, production, or editing.

Graduates of theoretical fields, such as film studies or media communication, are also welcome, provided they can demonstrate relevant practical experience and skills.

Applicants must have a strong command of Czech and at least a B2 level of English.

TV Nova covers 100% of tuition fees, and students may also receive a merit-based scholarship during their studies.

The development of television projects is led by producer Ondřej Beránek, supported by Ondřej Zima, Lenka Szántó, and others.

Reality and entertainment formats are covered by Tuwiah (Tubi) Neustadt together with Kateřina Pavlík, Adéla Brož, Tereza Zemanová, Dominika Jašková, Eva Krutáková, Tomáš Fišer, and more.

Casting and working with actors is taught by professionals such as Barbora Kočanová and Maja Hamplová, while work with non-actors is led by Jiří Charvát and others.

Final projects

During the program, students develop their own original project under the guidance of Michal Reitler and other experts from TV Nova and FAMU.

The best project is selected by TV Nova for further development and potential production.
