What to Expect from the Second Round of Entrance Exams

What to Expect from the Second Round of Entrance Exams

Did you make it to the second round? Congratulations! You are one step closer to studying at CME Content Academy and achieving your dream career in television. Preparation is key to success, so here are some tips to help you impress the committee. The second round takes place in front of a panel made up of the

CME CA board and representatives from the Television Institute. The entire interview is conducted in English. Don’t worry if you forget a word during your presentation; there is usually a translator on the panel to assist.

The goal of the interview is to get to know you personally. The panel has already read your materials and formed an idea of you based on your application. Now, they want to see the real you and learn more about your motivation, goals, and commitment. Be prepared for challenging questions. If something catches you off guard, take a moment to think before answering. If anything is unclear, don’t hesitate to ask for clarification.

We recommend studying basic information about the CME Group. Stay updated with their productions, creators, and direction. The committee will question your motivation to work in television if you show no interest in the field. Prepare examples of series and shows that you enjoy and that inspire your work. Also, have an elevator pitch ready for your story idea – sell it with confidence.

The interview with the committee is brief, so make the most of every minute. Stay focused, showcase your talents, and share your journey and plans. Talk about what inspired you to pursue a career in television. Be honest and let your personality shine.

You’ll know the results within a few days of the interview. If you don’t get in this year, don’t lose hope. Many of our students were accepted after multiple attempts. If you’re applying for the second time, emphasize your progress over the past year. Highlight how you’ve educated yourself, the experience you’ve gained in the industry, and how you’re applying your newfound knowledge to your work.

CME Content Academy, a project of TV Nova and TV Markiza, provides practical training alongside theoretical lectures at the Television Institute. The aim is to educate the next generation of TV professionals and enable them to work with these leading TV companies.
